Fully Licensed for International & EU Removals

Not every man and van outfit can legally operate across Europe – and since May 2022, the rules got stricter. All goods vehicles over 2,400kg gross weight are required to hold a formal operator’s licence. Our Luton vans weigh in at 3,500kg, and we hold Operator’s Licence OB2062524 – which means your goods travel legally, safely, and without issues at ports or border crossings.

We also run a full maintenance schedule every 12 weeks and have a fully registered transport manager on board. It’s the kind of compliance that smaller, less regulated operators skip – and it’s the difference between a smooth delivery and one that gets held up at customs.

For destinations outside the EU, we work with a trusted network of freight and customs agents to make sure everything arrives safely and legally, wherever it’s going.

We've Done This Before

Over a decade of international runs means we’ve built up the kind of experience that only comes from actually doing the job. Our first European delivery was to Utrecht in the Netherlands – since then, we’ve covered most of Western Europe, including deliveries to France, Germany, the Netherlands and beyond.

One job that sticks in the memory: delivering windows and doors from Essex to Dick and Angel’s chateau in France – yes, the one from Escape to the Chateau. We’ve worked in temperatures over 40°C in Germany and driven up to Scotland in -7°C. We’ve queued at ports, navigated mountain roads, and had exactly one breakdown – in Mannheim, Germany, where the Mercedes team had us back on the road within 24 hours.

We run Mercedes Sprinter vans for the most part, because reliability matters more than anything else when you’re 600 miles from home.

What We Need from You

International jobs need a bit more planning than a local move. Here’s what helps us put together an accurate quote and get things moving:

Dates

How much flexibility do you have? The more notice, the better, but we’ll always try to work around your timeline.

Full Addresses

Collection and delivery, including any access details, parking restrictions or clean air zones at either end.

Type of Property

House, flat, office, storage unit? Knowing what we’re working with at both ends helps us plan the load.

Nature of the job

Is this a full relocation, a single delivery, or somewhere in between?

Help at the destination

Will there be someone to assist our driver at the European end, or will they be unloading alone?

Packing

Are you packing yourself, or do you need us to handle it?

Customs declaration

Have you started one, or do you need our help?

Urgency

Do you need it there as fast as possible, or is there flexibility on timing?

A Note on Post-Brexit Customs

Moving belongings into the EU is more involved than it was before Brexit, but it’s not something to be put off by. We’ve navigated the paperwork many times and work with trusted customs agents who know the process inside out. Get in touch early and we’ll guide you through what’s needed – we’d rather deal with it properly upfront than have anything held up at the border.

International Removals - Your Questions Answered

Are you licensed to operate in Europe?

Yes – we hold Operator’s Licence OB2062524 and are fully licensed to transport goods across the UK and into the EU. For non-EU destinations, we work with trusted freight partners.

Can you help with customs declarations?

Yes – we’ll liaise with you and our customs agent to handle the paperwork. Post-Brexit customs can be complicated, but it’s something we deal with regularly and we’ll make it as straightforward as possible for you.

How do you handle the logistics of a European move?

We plan every international job carefully in advance – covering route, access, parking, toll roads, clean air zones and border requirements. The more information you can give us upfront, the smoother it goes.

What if it's more cost-effective to use a freight partner?

Sometimes forwarding your belongings with one of our trusted carrier partners is quicker or more cost-effective than a direct run, depending on the size and urgency of the job. We’ll always give you an honest recommendation.

How far in advance should I book an international removal?

As early as possible – international jobs require more planning than domestic moves. That said, get in touch regardless of your timeline and we’ll do our best to make it work.
